Conversations around conscious living at Wise Habit.

Wise Habit Concept Store has opened in Warsaw – a place of conscious design. It includes our own brands – TRE Product and Mudita – as well as selected quality items from South Korea, Japan and Scandinavian countries. Wise Habit was founded by the duo: Marcelina Plichta-Wabnik and Michał Kiciński, and its creative director is Pini Leibovich. At the center of its activities is the promotion of consumer awareness and sustainable development. The group not only develops its own brands and promotes positive examples of global design, but also offers research & development services. Wise Habit initiates meetings and opens discussions on topics important in the world of architecture. There will be two discussions this week. The first one is about the film MATTER OUT OF PLACE, which will take place on October 26, 2023. The next one is a meeting with designer Dorota Koziara, which will take place on October 27, 2023. Screening of the film Matter Out of Place and discussion

The event will focus on how to act so that society and the planet live together in harmony through making the right choices in everyday life. The event will include a screening of the film Matter Out of Place and a discussion panel that will discuss alternative ways to reduce and eliminate littering of our planet, current strategies in the fight against the avalanche of waste flooding our cities and how architecture can influence waste reduction and participate in the process recycling.Matter Out of Place / Nikolaus Geyrhalter / Austria 2022 / 106 min – The film shows the beauty of our planet, at the same time making us aware that it is difficult to find a place on it that is not littered. Can various methods of getting rid of garbage be a good topic for a film? Yes, if Austrian director Nikolaus Geyrhalter takes it. The highest quality of photos and sound allow you to travel to distant corners of the globe: to alpine resorts, the paradise Maldives, Nepal and finally to the desert in Nevada, during the Burning Man Festival. By watching how people dispose of waste in these places, the viewer learns better about the nature of the early 21st century and its impact on the planet. This astonishingly beautiful film, awarded at many film festivals, introduces the audience to a dissonance that stays with them for a long time. The English title of the film Matter Out of Place is a scientific term for an object that should not be in a given place.

Discussion panel on Sustainable Development with the participation of:

Wojciech Kolęda – Architect. A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. Co-founder of Less is core. Winner of architectural competitions, actively participating in international discussions on historical architecture and the future of the architectural profession. Co-designer of the revitalization of the Żnin Sugar Plant, Dwór Uphagena in Gdańsk, the Luftwaffe air base in Mielno and the meditation hotel in Drohiczyn.

Marcin Szczelina – architecture critic and curator. Publisher and editor-in-chief of Architecture Snob magazine. Since 2014, he has been an expert of the European Mies van der Rohe Award. Juror and member of the Advisory Board of the Czech Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2023. Juror of the European Simon Architecture Prize 2022. Expert of the Climate Leadership Program under the auspices of the UN Environment Program.

Anna Domin – philosopher, ethicist, CSR strategist, expert in 360 communication based on relationships, graphic designer. Co-founder of the first socially responsible marketing agency Szeptszum.pl, currently These Girls. Author of the #alreadyeverythingkomam social campaign. Expert in Climate Leadership powered by UN ENVIRONMENT, member of Chapter Zero Poland, Editor of Architect&Work and Architecture Snob.

Marcelina Plichta-Wabnik – Co-owner and CEO of Wise Habit, C-level executive in many organizations, lecturer at SWPS (brand and development strategy at School of Form), entrepreneur, business consultant and strategist, former CEO at tre product and CPO at Mudita. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, sales, product development and finance, she has built 3 successful brands, each offering different products and business models.

Meeting with Dorota Koziara

A meeting from the ArchiSnob Talks series, initiated by Architecture Snob magazine. The heroine of the meeting will be Dorota Koziara, one of the most recognizable Polish designers abroad. During the meeting, we will learn about the beginnings of her cooperation with Atelier Mendini and her activities to promote Polish talents around the world.

Dorota Koziara is a designer and design promoter. His achievements include designs for international brands such as: Alessi, Hermes, Christian Dior, Swarovski.
