The premiere of the 8th issue of Architecture Snob took place in an extraordinary location – the Krasiński Palace in Warsaw. This baroque gem of the capital, designed by Tylman van Gameren, is not only a masterpiece of architecture but also a living witness to a history full of political ambitions and dramatic turns. Inspired by the classical “entre cour et jardin” layout, the palace has impressed for centuries with its symmetry and decorative richness, becoming a symbol of the splendor and prestige of the Krasiński family. It was within these majestic walls, revitalized with new energy after a recent restoration, that the magazine’s premiere took place.

The evening was gracefully hosted by Katarzyna Jaroszyńska, who welcomed the large gathering of guests from the very start. Over 360 architects, designers, and cultural figures had the opportunity to participate in this unique event, which filled the Krasiński Palace with creativity, art, and innovative ideas.

However, the most important figure of the evening was Aleksandra Wasilkowska – the cover star of the new issue of Architecture Snob. The evening revolved around her. Wasilkowska, known for redefining public spaces and creating inclusive, just, and sustainable architecture, drew the attention of all guests. Her “shadow architecture” project – focusing on often-ignored places that hold significant meaning for the community’s life – was the main topic of conversation. The event’s scenography, also designed by Wasilkowska, seamlessly complemented the palace’s interiors.

There were also moments that allowed the gathered guests to reflect on the history of the place they found themselves in. Tomasz Makowski, Director of the National Library, and Tomasz Konior, the architect responsible for the palace’s restoration, discussed the challenges of restoring the palace to its former glory while adapting the building to contemporary standards.

The evening was filled with emotions, inspiring conversations, and exceptional beverages. Thanks to the event’s partners – Rehau, Tubądzin, Häfele, Saint-Gobain, Dyson, Wienerberger, Kontakt-Simon, Jung, Omnires, Samsung, Humanscale, and Piu Design – guests could not only enjoy the atmosphere but also savor exquisite wines from Warsaw Wine Company and United Beverages S.A. The Macallan presented a collector’s edition of their whisky, and Lazise delighted the event’s attendees with a carefully composed premium-quality wine collection. Meanwhile, CEDC International prepared Dark Horse wines for the premiere guests.

For those not inclined to alcohol, a delicious alternative was provided – coffee from Coffee Plant. Espresso Tonic, a perfect combination of intense coffee and refreshing tonic, proved particularly popular, giving guests the energy for the rest of the evening.

Humanscale offered guests the opportunity to test the iconic Freedom chair, celebrating its 25th anniversary. Samsung invited guests into its world of innovative appliances, showcasing the latest technologies that sparked great interest among architects and designers. The event also featured a lamp by Artemide, designed by the legendary Rem Koolhaas, whose unique design and functionality attracted the attention of modern lighting enthusiasts.

Several exceptional projects and products from the event’s partners were also presented during the evening. Omnires impressed guests with its elegant CONTOUR faucet collection and a beautiful bathtub on display. Jung, known for innovative electrical installation solutions, showcased its modern building management systems.

Attendees of the premiere also received gifts from Fale Loki Koki, the exclusive distributor of Montibello in Poland. This Spanish brand’s hair care cosmetics, characterized by ecological formulas and high quality, made from natural ingredients, were a pleasant token for the event participants.

The official part of the 8th Architecture Snob magazine premiere concluded with a surprising performance by Marta Ziółek and Bruno Jasieński. Marta Ziółek is a renowned performer whose work balances on the edge of dance, visual arts, and modern technology. Her works, such as “Make Yourself” and “Monstera,” are known for their provocative interpretations of identity and the body in the context of contemporary culture. Marta often weaves elements of feminism and emancipation into her performances, exploring new forms of bodily expression and rituals related to femininity.

Bruno Jasieński, a talented drummer and performer, added an emotional dimension to this extraordinary spectacle. Marta’s performance, specially composed for the magazine’s premiere, captivated everyone. She appeared in a costume designed by Aleksandra Wasilkowska, the evening’s protagonist and the cover star of the latest issue. During the performance, Ziółek recited excerpts from the Building Law, referencing the role of women in architecture and emphasizing their significance in this male-dominated industry. It was an artistic manifesto that subtly but decisively pointed to the need for change and greater equality in the world of design and architecture.

Until the early hours, DJ Amgad ensured the musical setting, and the energetic performance by Marta Ziółek and Bruno Jasieński made the evening’s finale a true feast for the senses. We thank everyone who contributed to making this unforgettable event possible.
