At the evening launch party, which brought together the most outstanding personalities from the world of architecture, design and art, the originator and editor-in-chief of Architecture Snob, Marcin Szczelina, introduced his guests to the concept behind the platform and its functionality. His initiative received support of many notable figures, such as Edward Schwarz from LafargeHolcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction, the founder of KWK Promes Robert Konieczny, or Gabriela Muskała – an actress and playwright, who gave a brilliant performance in Marek Koterski’s excellent film “7 Feelings”, currently in cinemas across Poland.

Edward Schwarz, the general manager of the LafargeHolcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction, who is in collaboration with Architecture Snob, briefly presented the mission of his organization. He also introduced the idea of an international architectural competition and the LafargeHolcim Awards, which reward socially, ethically, economically and environmentally responsible projects that promote sustainable realizations, which respond to the challenges of the modern world.

Robert Konieczny talking about his ARK

Robert Konieczny, the most published and internationally rewarded Polish architect, as well as the subject of the first edition of “ICONS”, the original project of Architecture Snob, has certainly put on a good show when describing his own home – the Konieczny Arc. The splendid realization in Brenna, which won the title of the best house of 2016 in a prestigious competition organized by Wallpaper magazine, was the leitmotiv of the story told by the founder of KWK Promes. Our guests have hears, for instance, that nothing would have happened, if not for… Konieczny’s luck with wives.

Gabriela Muskała, an actress known from many great productions, such as “These daughters of mine” or “Courage”, ran to the launch party straight from a photo session to a monthly magazine. However, she told the guests of Snob about a completely different session – made by Bartek Barczyk in the area of the abandoned SKRA pools – which hit the cover of the printed magazine Architecture Snob..

The icing on the cake of the party was the performance of the rapper and music producer Vixen, whose clip for the song “Romantic Love”, realized in cooperation with Mery Spolsky has over 5 million views on YouTube.

When the official part was over, the party continued, and the Lipiński passage in Aleje Jerozolimskie in Warsaw remained vibrant with lively discussions until late at night.
